In the slides are how I re-upholstered patio furniture! There’s tons of other ways to do this, but this was my first try and they came out beautifully! I think my method was pretty easy for a beginning sewer.

Time spent: 3 days of labor~ 8-10 hours each day with breaks. However my machines are so old and jacked up so if your machine runs smoothly it would take less time:)

1) re-use any old materials - buttons, filling, and foam seat cushions to save on money

2) sew pillow cases that are fitted to your pillows and hand sew them shut, tucking the fabric inside for a clean look. Get a thick upholstery needle, thread the button through and pull tight enough to get that pulled look at the button. Use thick thread for the button so it doesn’t snap!

3) do the same for the foam seats unless they are too gross and you need to buy a new long butt cushion for the sofa (these are cheaper and $30 on Amazon compared to the smaller square butt cushions)

4) it’s basically that simple! This was a super fun project to DIY and cost about $150. Patio furniture at Lowe’s was between $450-1,200 when I went so this was a cheaper option AND super unique compared to basic patio furniture:)
