📍 Kayra Authentic Kerala Cuisine

So a little fact about me is that my great great grandparents are from Kerala but i've never actually eaten any dishes from that state.

I recently stumbled upon this restaurant and I decided to go get a nice hearty dinner. I didn't know what to expect but holy moly! The food there was super flavourful and spicy!

In total we ordered:

1 appitizer -

Banana Cutlet

✨ Delicious! It's not like those pisang u eat so its not sweet at all. The texture is a bit weird but taste wise so sedap

2 Carbs -

Biriyani Rice

✨ Fragrant! 2 people can share 1 bowl cause it gets filling very quickly

Chapathi

✨ It's chapathi. All chapathi is good

2 Mains -

Chicken Roast

✨ If you're planning to go there PLEASE TRY THIS!! Chicken pieces in this super thick gravy with a loooot of spices. Even after a week, i'm still thinking about this chicken

Fried Fish Calicut

✨ Coconuty fried fish with fennel seeds. Also very delicious! Only complaint was there was bones in it so have to be careful when you eat!

Drinks -

Mango Lassi

✨ Very tangy! Balances out the meal!

Adipoli (not in video)

✨ Coconut infused Gin, Aperol, Watermelon Juice, Grenadine, Lime topped with pomegranate seeds! Very pretty drink but the after taste was a little weird 😅
