This is a cheap and easy chipotle mayo recipe!! I already had all the spices in my kitchen, grabbed a lemon from my backyard, and made sure to get a small can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce from the grocery store. The can of chipotle pepper only cost about $1.50!! Also if you want to make it alittle healthier, I use olive oil mayonnaise. It doesn’t use seed oil and has less overall fat and a lot of the fat it does have are healthy fats from the olive oil. 🫒
HOMEMADE CHIPOTLE MAYO
Ingredients:
1/2 cup mayo (vegan or regular)
3-4 teaspoons adobo sauce from a can of chipotle peppers in adobo (adjust based on your heat preference)
2 teaspoons fresh lime or lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Here are a few ideas of what you can put your homemade chipotle mayo on: sandwiches, wraps, burgers, pizza, potato or chicken tacos, fish tacos, beer-battered fish, sushi and fries! Let me know if you think of other food that would taste good with chipotle mayo🥰
Tip: if you want it really spicy add a chipotle pepper, it will fall apart as you mix it and you will get small bits of pepper in each bite!
