DON’T MAKE THESE MISTAKES WHEN OILING…

While hair oiling is beneficial to growing your hair, doing it WRONG will make your hair brittle and fall out. Here are some do’s and don’ts for hair oiling:

Do NOT comb through hair during or after you oil it. Instead, comb through your hair BEFORE oiling. This is because when you add oil to your hair, it becomes very sensitive. Breakage can happen more easily and your hair will end up falling out!

Do NOT drench your scalp in oil, instead, limit the amount of oil you apply to your scalp. Divide your hair into 3 sections and apply a few droppers of oil (I use 3 since I have thinner hair). Your scalp should not feel soaked after oiling! If there is oil dripping down your neck/ears then you’ve put too much! This can cause lots of scalp buildup which will make your hair fall out!

Do NOT apply oil straight away once you comb your hair. Instead, stimulate your scalp with a massage tool or your hands for at least 5 minutes. This allows your scalp to actually absorb the oil and will make the oil so much more effective!
