i know i know, easier said than done
doing nothing, at times, is necessary, when dealing with burnout or heavier mental health issues, some days - laying in bed is all you have energy for and that is okay
letting your body and mind REST is different than rotting
i've experience that when i feel burnt out, i never let my mind turn off.
through things such as doom scrolling, various passive activities, always doing something
so!! here are my top tips for getting out of these cycles and taking care of yourself on those lower mental health days
1. set those time limits and tryyyy to limit the mindless scrolling
2. counting down from 5 (out loud) and the moment you hit 0, its time to get up (even if that means you move to a different room, or drink some water and lay right back down)
3. if you have the capacity - get outside! fresh air and natural light make a huge difference in mental health.
if that seems too daunting - open your blinds and windows in your room to get some air flow :)
remember!!
it's normal to have off days to have bad mental health days
this feeling isn't permanent, be kind to yourself. <3
