What are stomach vacuums? 🤔 Stomach vacuums are an isometric exercise that involves contracting the transversus abdominis, the deepest layer of abdominal muscles, by drawing the belly button inward towards the spine. I do 5 minutes of stomach vacuums everyday, broken into 1 min sets.

When I’m regularly performing stomach vacuums I notice my waist is tighter & my core feels stronger! 10/10 recommend for everyone.

How to perform:

•exhale completely, pulling the stomach in as much as possible

•hold the position while continuing to breathe normally

•start at 30 seconds & increase up to 1 min!

For my full workout perform 1 vacuum in each of the following positions…

•laying on your back

•bridge position

•table top

•reverse table top

•standing up

Hold for 1 min remembering to breathe!
