3 Apps To Make Friends When Solo Traveling 👯

I’ve lived in so many new places, but no one told me how hard it was going to be to make new friends as an adult… esPECIALLY when you work remotely. Here are 3 apps I’ve found success in finding friendships with 👇🏽

1️⃣ MeetUp

This could almost be like booking something in the Airbnb Experience section, except it’s normally a ton of solo travelers or people eager to meet new friendly faces booking. It’s a great way not only to explore a new area, but also make some global friends along the way.

2️⃣ Bumble

Though many associate this app with dating, there’s actually a friend section on here for meeting girls, too! I’ve met incredible people like this, although I will say, you normally have to be in the area a bit longer than one week in order to really establish a connection and plans to meet up. However, at least this way you’ll really be meeting the locals!

3️⃣ Duolingo

Because it’s kinda hard to meet new people when you don’t speak the same language 😂 in all honesty, English has been pretty easy to get by with in most touristy places. However, if you can speak the local language, even if it’s just a few words, then people will be more likely to befriend you and bring you into their circles!
