I love an easy appetizer recipe! This one’s festive too :) And delicious of course! The pumpkin adds a hint of sweetness to the hummus that is DELISH. Recipe below and let me know if you try👇
Pumpkin Hummus with Pita Chips
- To make the hummus, add 1 can of chickpeas (drained), 1/4 cup of canned pumpkin, 1 tbsp of tahini, juice of 1/2 a lemon, 3 tbsp of olive oil, 1/4 tsp of salt, and 3 cloves of roasted garlic (fresh would work too!) to a food processor and blend until smooth.
- Plate and top with pom seeds, pumpkin seeds, more olive oil, and flaky salt!
- To make the pita chips, grab 2 pitas and cut into triangles.
- Pan fry on medium heat in some olive oil until golden brown (about 2 mins on each side—be careful they’ll burn quick)
- Transfer to a wire rack and sprinkle with flaky salt :)
