and if you didn’t know tomato pie existed, you’re welcome for bringing it into your life…SO wholesome, so good🤌 I also don’t think I’ve ever had a more anticipated recipe…y’all have been in my dm’s waiting for this one to drop😂👀
Recipe…
- Preheat your oven to 350.
- Start with either a store bought pie crust or homemade.
- Then, slice 2 tomatoes into 1/4 inch thick slices. Pat dry and salt. Let sit to dry out slightly while making the cheese mixture.
- In a small mixing bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of shredded sharp cheddar, 1/4 cup of shredded mozz, 1/4 cup of mayo, 2 tbsp of sour cream, 2 tbsp of oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Layer the tomato on the pie crust. Then top with the cheese mixture. Sprinkle with a little bit more shredded cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes and then broil for 3 mins to get a nice crispy top :)
- Top with parsley or basil, slice, and serve 🤌
