My content creation set up is scrappy. I donāt have all the bells and whistles, and I havenāt invested a ton into it just yet. And Iām here to tell you that thatās OKš You can still be a ācontent creatorā and make amazing reels with what you have!
Iāve been making recipe reels for the past year and a half and have invested little to no $. I just started making money from social media, so I may start to invest in some better backdropsābut itās really not necessary! Iāve gotten to where I am by being scrappyšHereās my current set upā¦
1) Phone Tripodāthis is one of the only things I purchased when I started making content. The one I use was about $30 off Amazon and itās lasted me a year and a halfšNo need to buy anything fancy.
2) IPhone 13 pro maxāWhen my plan was up last, I specifically got the IPhone with the BEST camera option. That way I didnāt need to get an expensive dslr camera!
3) Folding tableāI already had a folding table sitting in my basement collecting dustš I set it up next to the window in my kitchen for good lightingš
4) Brown paper bags + kitchen towelsāok hear me outā¦brown paper bagsšDonāt throw them out! Keep them to use as a back drop for pics & videos! I also like to use cute kitchen towels that I have to add some more texture.
5) Mugāsometimes to get a more close up shot of me cooking, Iāll use a mug to hold my phoneš I also used to use this before I had a tripod.
6) Splice + TezzaāI use splice to edit. I find this to be the easiest and best app for editing videos. And itās only $3.99/month!
And this is what works for me! Iām curious to hear in the commentsā¦whatās your content creation set up? Would love to get more ideas :)
