You've already saved this guide down - so now what? :) Let's discuss which neighborhood you should tackle thrifting in first, based on your preferences and needs as each neighborhood has its' own set of treasures to offer.

Go to Hell's Kitchen if you're looking for a vibrant and diverse mix. This neighborhood has a really interesting history and its thrift stores are very much a grab bag from my personal experience.

Chelsea has my favorite all-time thrifting scene because a lot of the pieces here are sophisticated with a focus on upscale and quality pieces. From a square footage perspective, they also have some of the biggest thrift stores in Manhattan, which is always appreciated! This neighborhood is one to not miss!

Prospect Park is another grab bag with a mix of boho, casual, and classic. There are many thrift in the surrounding area and it's worth checking out because the neighborhood's residents come from both an eclectic and affluent background. In short, you never know what you're going to find!

Bushwick's thrifting scene is trendy and artistic. For the most part, it's a lot of denim, T-Shirts, and leather. If you're looking for bold, trend setting, one-of-a-kind pieces that are non-corporate and just "cool", you'll find it here. Greenpoint has always surprised me - the thrift finds are both very classic and edgy, but based on my previous finds, I can confirm some fabulous people live in this neighborhood! Where will you tackle first!?
