Hi, lemons! Grab your cauldrons and stir up this magical brew just in time for your Halloween festivities! Let's talk Halloween! If you're looking for a spirited Halloween cocktail that will send a chill up your spine, be sure to mix up my Bone Rattler Red. This hauntingly delicious concoction combines sweet cranberry juice with the tartness of blood orange and lime for a drink that's both creepy and crave-worthy.

The deep ruby red color resembles a vial of vampire blood, while the smoked salt rim conjures images of a moonlit graveyard. It's sure to be a hit at any Halloween bash or fright night in. Just be careful - more than one Bone Rattler might just rattle your bones!

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 oz (3 tbsp) vodka

• 3 oz (6 tbsp) cranberry juice

• 1 oz (2 tbsp) blood orange juice

• 1/2 oz (1 tbsp) fresh lime juice

• 1/4 oz (1/2 tbsp) simple syrup

• Smoked salt or regular salt

• Lime wedge

• Blood orange slice / Dried Lotus Root

• Ice cubes

Instructions:

• Prepare glass by running a lime wedge around the rim and dipping into smoked salt or regular salt to coat. Set aside.

• In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the vodka, cranberry juice, blood orange juice, lime juice and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.

• Strain into prepared glass filled with fresh ice.

• Garnish with a blood orange slice on the rim. Serve immediately.

Bartending Tips:

• Adjust the vodka to your liking. Use less vodka for a lighter cocktail or add more if you prefer an extra scary kick.

• Swap in pomegranate juice if you can't find blood orange. The color will still be creepily vibrant.

• Use a store-bought smoked salt or make your own by smoking salt flakes at home.

• Serve in a rocks glass or ironically in a small apothecary jar for a potion effect!
