Ozempic Sulphur Burps 🤢

I recently increased my ozempic dose to 1mg. I didn’t notice a huge change but this morning I woke up with the dreaded SULPHUR BURPS. If you don’t know what this is it is a nauseating burp that smells like sulphur or a rotten egg. Imagine trying to sit in a work meeting and suddenly you smell like a walking gas leak. It’s AWFUL. Plus it makes me gag every time.

I used to get these when I was about 9-10 (I wasn’t on Ozempic then), but the drs I saw never really knew WHY or how to help it.

After falling down the rabbit hole of Reddit here is what is helping me.

1. Pepto Bismol I took a hearty dose of Pepto and while the burping hasn’t stopped, I no longer smell and taste rotten egg.

2. Hydrate! I like to fast while I have these burps and only drink water. This might not be advisable for some people but I find it difficult to eat when I’m like this. But staying hydrated and having water to aide your digestion is still SOOO important.

Hopefully this sulphur journey is short, but I will let you know if I find anything else! 😭
