🤔 Did you know that the black travel industry generates over 140 BUSD each year?!

Black travelers generate so much money for the travel industry, but there are always concerns about being comfortable personally when visiting certain countries as a which is understandable.

Here are a few countries I have visited over the last 15 years where I have not only felt comfortable but had a memorable experience as a solo black traveler:

China 🇨🇳

I had the opportunity to live in China for 2 years in the early 2010s and see a lot of the construction in progress for many small towns and in Beijing. Not only are the Chinese people very welcoming but I learned here the fun of sharing every cooked dish with a local family and fell in love with its culture.

Qatar 🇶🇦

Back in the mid 2000s, I learned not only how to grow a business in the capital Doha but also that the Middle East is not as intimidating as I saw on TV. I was there as the second Iraq War was starting up. The Qatari people there not only loved to party but showed why many Middle Eastern countries are a great for raising families. Today it is the home of the 2022 World Cup!

Bolivia 🇧🇴

If you want a taste of heaven visit the Glass Mirror in Uyuni. You will have your moment of peace. Black people are so rare in Bolivia when I visited La Paz, one of the metro cities, I was regularly asked for photos.

Tunisia 🇹🇳

Tunisians are some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people in the world. I used to work with a few in Qatar and was so happy to visit Tunisia this summer. Despite events in the past, it is absolutely safe to visit. I blended right in as a black traveler.
