One of the best organizing systems I’ve created for my kids is a process for sorting and organizing all of the outgrown baby clothes. Do you know if you’ve had a baby, they outgrow clothes like crazy and it’s really hard to keep up with it.

Here’s what works well for me:

1️⃣ Designate a bin for outgrown clothes. I find it works well to store this on a higher shelf in the closet.

2️⃣ every time you come across an item of clothing that’s too small for your child, immediately toss it in the outgrown clothes bin.

3️⃣ once the bin is full, it’s time to sort through it all. I like to fold everything, neatly and place it in piles according to size. If you keep up with this regularly, most likely everything in the bin will be all one size so that makes it easy.

4️⃣ then it’s time to pack up your clothes and either store them or sell/donate them. I have large plastic tubs that I store all of our outgrown clothes in so I can pass them to other family members. I put stacks of clothes in airtight, vacuum seal bags and label each bag with the size that’s inside. Then I put the size range on the outside of the big tubs and they’re all organized!

The really nice part about this system is that it makes it a little more manageable to keep up with, no full day spent sorting through the entire wardrobe of your child. Just set aside things as you noticed them being too snug and sort through the bin whenever it gets full.

Hope this helps! Comment below if you’re going to give us a try, or if you have any other tips for storing kids clothes!
