Nursery Closet Organization Ideas & Tips

With all the little clothes and baby essentials, an organized nursery closet is a must! Tour my baby’s closet and get ideas for creating a nursery closet that is as functional as it is beautiful.

To make things more accessible, I removed the sliding doors from this closet and built shelving. Adding shelving created a lot more space for bins and baskets to contain all of the small baby gear and accessories. The key here is to find bins that maximize the full depth of your shelves so you're not wasting space. I also planned ahead and placed soft-sided baskets and bins on the lower shelves so it's baby-proofed for when the baby gets mobile later on.

By adding the shelves, I cut the hanging rod size in half. But I added a second hanging rod so we still have plenty of hanging space for baby clothes (we store most clothing in a dresser anyway).
