I ❤️ the algae in my Longkang Aquarium

'Longkang' means drain or canal in the Malay language. This aquarium is designed to resemble a canal in Singapore.

It is inhabited by wild-type guppies and neocaridina shrimps.

'Wild type guppies' refer to the original, naturally occurring form of guppies found in the wild before selective breeding led to various color and pattern variations in captive populations.

I am happy that the algae makes the aquarium look more natural.

I manually remove the algae during my weekly maintenance to keep it under control.
