Single-use dehumidifiers cost approximately S$2 per box and typically last about one month, depending on humidity levels. After each use, you usually just discard them, which is both costly and harmful to the environment. This is why I stopped throwing away my single-use dehumidifiers and started refilling them with Slurpy Bear’s big refill bags.

Refillable dehumidifiers are much more cost-effective in the long run. A 2.5kg refill bag, costing around S$13, can be used up to 10 times, making each refill approximately S$1.30. An even better deal is the 4.5kg bag, which costs about S$18 and provides up to 18 refills, reducing the cost to just S$1 per refill!

You might be wondering how to get started. The good news is that you can repurpose your current single-use dehumidifier boxes. Simply cut open the heat-sealed paper, pour the liquid into the toilet bowl, and refill with the large bags. You may be thinking, then what happens if I do not have the paper anymore? You can also purchase spill-resistant paper separately and reuse the current boxes that you already have!

A fun fact about the spill-resistant paper is that, while not essential, it is recommended. It helps prevent splashing from accidental knock-overs, especially if you have pets and children at home.
