Seoul less travelled - Hyehwa

When I was planning my seoul itinerary, I found some places near Hyehwa-dong that is away from the crowd, yet so chill & aesthetic! ✨

Hyehwa station is along Line 4 of the Seoul metro system - just two stops away from Dongdaemun History & Culture Park and one stop from Dongdaemun. So it is still very accessible and not too far from the city center!

[ 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐲𝐞𝐡𝐰𝐚 ]

📍 𝐍𝐚𝐤𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤

• Neighbourhood park with pretty views (can even spot N Seoul Tower from here!)

• Walk along Seoul city wall

• NOTE: The path to get up the park can be quite steep because it is on a hill - not sure if there’s another way up 😥

📍 𝐈𝐡𝐰𝐚 𝐦𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞

• Residential area with many beautiful wall murals for photos!

• Also some cafes and workshops inside

• There might be several entrance to the village but I found my way in when I walked along the city wall from Naksan park towards Dongdaemun station

📍 𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞

• Bag store with minimalist bag/pouch designs, and it’s cheaper compared to other korean brands!

• Has a cafe/bookstore inside iirc

If you are bored of the usual places in Seoul, definitely do visit Hyehwa! It doesn’t take long, but I recommend half a day! There are many interesting stores along the way to Naksan park too!
