EASTIES!!! This one’s for you 🐙
I haven’t been the most diligent in going for facials in the past. I used to go ~1-2x a year, especially when I find myself breaking out. However, since I started working, I found myself placing more importance in self-care. This ranged from just lazing at home to working out and ofc the monthly facial.
In desperate attempt to look for affordable and convenient locations in the east, I went on google/IG/Carousell and read multiple reviews. Finally, I chanced upon a home based business in Bedok
On my first visit, Emily (my facial therapist), got me to fill up a short survey to find out more about my skin. I changed into a v comfy robe and let her review my skin. I learnt that my skin was sensitive and on the oily/combi side.
Her prices are extremely affordable starting from $38 for basic facials (Deep cleanse/acne) to BB Microneedling facials at $88. On my first session, i opted for a basic acne facial with machine add-ons (diamond peel + cold bar). Swear to God i was SOOOO comfortable i really concussed and snored so loud i woke myself up. BONUS POINTS: SHE GIVES THE BEST SHOULDER MASSAGES DURING FACIAL!!!!! After this first session, i began booking appointments with her every month for facial.
I noticed ZERO downtime after the facial, unlike some places where I get really red with extraction marks and scars the next few days. This time round I tried her BB glow facial. It’s a microneedling process using serums. Foundation is also applied along with the serum to provide a brightening effect.
The process did not hurt, but ofc as needles are involved, there was definitely some prickly moments. But extremely tolerable!!!! (2/10 pain scale) Emily applied a cold bar and mask after, and this was really soothing and refreshing for my skin.
My sensitive skin became a lil red, and I looked sunburnt but Emily said this was normal. Im excited to see if my skin really brightens up the next few days, and if skin responds well to this treatment.
I always look forward to my facial appointments because I always feel so good after. Taking care of my skin and health has become a priority. If you decide to try this out, let me know how it goes for you!
