I would fly to Osaka just for this sushi 😭

I found this place in January based on a good friend’s recc and I popped by again on my latest trip in April. Literally this is my fave sushi spot and I’ll travel to Osaka just for this………

It’s called Harukoma Honten and it’s located along Tenjinbashi. It’s basically a local institution for food and it’s extremely popular with locals all looking to get some of that good fresh stuff ✌🏻😭🤠

It opened in 1953 and when I was in the line, a good sign was that it was all locals around me. If locals are lining up for the food, you know it’s good. The line can move a bit slowly because the restaurant is pretty small — a 10-seater if iirc!

You’ll place your first orders in line. There’s an English menu so don’t worry if you can’t read Japanese :)

- Otoro (¥800)

- Scallop (¥400)

- Negitoro Hand Roll (¥450)

Harukoma Honten, there’s another branch down the road called Harukoman Shiten. Both are equally crowded so you have to go early. The first time I went when they opened at 11am. I waited close to 2 hours, the second time I went 30-minutes before they opened and waited an additional 30-minutes only :)

💰 Price: ¥2000-¥3000

All in all I know I’ll be back for the thick fresh cuts and affordable prices!!!
