my mug collection 🍵

I’m a collector at heart, and one of the things I’ve collected for years are beautiful mugs. I make a lot of tea in my house (like, a LOT), so having a lot of mugs is actually somewhat useful––unlike some of the other things I collect that, for the most part, just gather dust.

I collect mugs all over the place––some of the ones in my collection are vintage ones I’ve picked up at thrift stores or flea markets, a few of them are from specialty tea shops, 3 are from small ceramic artists who were displaying their work at pottery fairs or craft markets, and then I have 5 no-handle mugs from ceramic artist Mimi Likey. Mimi’s work is almost a collection in itself––her drops are intense and sell out fast due to how gorgeous and covetable her pieces are. Out of all my mugs, my Mimi cups are some of my most used!

I’m just now starting to run out of space in my designated “mug cabinet” and so have slowed down on my collecting––but if I see one I really love, the lack of space won’t stop me.
