Book Review: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

#lemon8diarychallenge I am a Wallflower. Did I know this before reading the book? Yes. But this book puts it into perspective from the viewpoint of Charlie. If you don’t like books written in the form of letters/entries, then I wouldn’t recommend this book, however, I loved it. This is by far one of my favorite reads. It’s basically the life of an unpopular teen. Relatable? Very. Charlie struggles with many concepts that most other teens also struggle with, and explains his struggles and his process of learning from his mistakes in letters written to an anonymous person. It’s fun and heartwarming, but also touches on pressing teenage issues such as sex, SA, Suicide, and coping with trauma
