My honey completed basic training!🪖❤️

10 LONG WEEKS! And all I can do is thank God. This process has been so challenging, but worth it. My man made the truest sacrifice for not only our future, but our country as well. This experience has truly brought us closer than ever in our entire relationship. Here’s some highlights from a military spouse’s POV to give my experience of army bct:

• Training length is 10 weeks (including the week for reception; this can be longer depending on capacity)

• Join the Facebook groups for updates on crossing into basic, graduation information, your future soldier’s battery page, the training base’s photography company, questions, and more. Plus you gain a community. The support groups for military spouses is great too!

• Phone calls were granted every Sunday based on behavior (it is a privilege and not guaranteed)

• WRITE, WRITE, WRITE. I recommend Sandboxx. Pricey, but worth it because your trainee gets free replies. You get 1 free photo with each letter too.

• Reinforce the support and keep them in good spirits, they need it
