chillax route for light to night 2024 ✨

If you’re anything like me, I got lowkey stressed out trying to find the best route for light to night 2024 because I wanted us to see everything and experience it all 🫣 but now I realise how dumb I was hahaha and it was really nice to just go with flow! so I’m sharing my chillax route we took but also keeping in mind that you can really just tweak it based on what the vibes are :)

📍 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐗 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥: 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 (𝐒𝐭 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐰’𝐬 𝐑𝐝)

- started off with some food because this place can get super super crowded past 7pm. We were there around 6pm and could get a table for ourselves comfortably and the queues weren’t long

- but as all festival food are, it was pricey (mac & cheese was 12 bucks lol)

- but the vibes were so good!! can watch the sun set against the cbd skyline :)

📍 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐆𝐢𝐠𝐬 (𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲)

- after eating full full and just sweating from the heat of sitting outside, we went into the Gallery and it was about 7.30pm as the Gallery Gigs performance started

📍 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 (𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲)

- since you’re at the Gallery, use this opportunity to explore some of the exhibitions! Most are free so why not!

- some exhibition highlights include the Symphony of Order at the Library & Archive, Siapa Nama Kamu? (my fav exhibition that has been around for some time already!!), See Me See You

📍 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 (𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲)

- just a nice break in between the exhibitions to look at some handmade items from different sellers!

📍 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 (𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲, 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞)

- once you’re done with the Gallery, it should be dark enough outside to view the art skin!!

- there are also huge inflated saga seeds which is one of the highlights- wasn’t as bright as I hoped lol

- art skin on the facade was really nice!! you can consider sitting on the padang field and just soaking in the vibes. It’s quite windy too so it helps if you’re kinda tired after all the walking hahaha

📍 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

- once you’re done with the padang, head over the Victoria Concert Hall, Arts House, ACM for more art projections- tbh this didn’t take too long and it was just watching for a bit and snapping some pics

And that’s about it! I took about 3h for everything and was ready to go home by that time lol. Hope it gives you some idea if you’re stuck on how to plan your route! They were definitely other things we didn’t see so just take note :)
