Day Trip to Bentonville, Arkansas

Have you ever heard of Bentonville (also known as the birth place of Walmart)?

Well, if you're visiting Arkansas or just driving through, I highly recommend a stop while you're in Northwest Arkansas.

This charming town has the most picturesque town square, museums all over the place, trendy cafes, and lots of good places to stop and eat.

Of course, if you enjoy being outdoors, Bentonville also has tons of mountain biking trails for all experience levels.

During my day trip to Bentonville I started early and grabbed coffee at Onyx Coffee Shop and then made my way to Crystal Bridges Museum (one of the best museums I've been to). This free museum offers a huge array of indoor and outdoor art displays that could easily take you 3+ hours to get all the way through. If you are on a limited time schedule, you could probably get away with staying for an hour and a half.

Once you're finished, make your way to the town square for lunch and then stop by the Walmart museum for a history lesson on how Walmart became what it is today.

This small and charming town is getting bigger every day and I can't wait to go back soon. Would you visit Bentonville, Arkansas?
