Creating my Dream Kitchen

When we bought this house the kitchen was a dark and dated space. Now, after a DIY renovation, it’s my favorite room in the house! Swipe to see the before pics 👀

Here are a few essential tips if you’re planning a kitchen remodel soon:

✨ Use IKEA cabinets! They look amazing and are super affordable. They can be totally customized to fit your space and the organization options are endless. We dressed ours up with beautiful bronze hardware and quartz countertops.

✨ Opt for drawers over cabinets on the bottom! It’s SO much easier to pull out a drawer to get something rather than lay on the floor and dig in the depths of a lower cabinet.

✨ Buy appliances second hand. We scored almost brand-new appliances off of FB Marketplace for 1/3 of what we would have paid for new!

✨ Think outside the box for backsplash. We did Zellige type tile on one side of the kitchen but decided on a modern-traditional vertical shiplap on the other side. I LOVE how it turned out with the open shelving! We painted it Meadow Sage by Sherwin Williams.
