Brazil’s national dish! 🇧🇷 this is so delicious especially served with rice, Farofa (cassava flour, bacon & sausage), sautéed kale and oranges to cut through the richness.
No salt is needed as the smoked/cured meat’s already salted. I loved tasting the stew as the flavor develops. After 30mins, the stew already had so much flavor but mainly salty from the salted meats, after 1 hr, a hint of Tangy-ness came through and after 1.5hr I started to taste the flavors of the beans. So good, all the flavors were infused and rounded so well after 2 hours 😋
Ingredients:
Stew: Add all together in a pot and simmer for 2 hours
- black beans (soaked in water overnight)
- Brazilian smoked cured pork, beef and sausage
- onions
- garlic
- chicken stock
Sides:
- Farofa: sauté cassava flour with bacon and minced onions
- Sautéd kale
- Oranges
- White rice
