Turn Heads with this Scent Routine 🫧

One of the best compliments I can receive is that I smell good. Like - no better feeling! But my scent routine starts way earlier than my perfume - here’s how I achieve the perfect clean girl scent:

1. If you’re not using bar soap - you need to start IMMEDIATELY. While it can be a little drying, it really provides a deep clean and leaves such a clean scent that works as the base of our routine. Plus - we’re going to add all that moisture back in! (Dove: $4)

2. To get the skin extra smooth, I use a body scrub for extra exfoliation. I love this dupe from Trader Joe’s - it smells exactly like the Sol de Janeiro product for a fraction of the price! (Trader Joe’s: $10)

3. I’ll usually alternate body cleansers depending on what perfume I plan to wear, but these two from Method and Saltair are incredible. (Method: $15, Saltair: $12)

4. Right after the shower while my skin is still a little damp, I’ll apply a body oil all over to keep my skin as hydrated as possible. I’ll let this soak into my skin for 5 minutes before applying anything else! (Palmers: $13)

5. After I’ve done my face skincare, I’ll lather on a moisturizing body lotion to lock in moisture. Fun fact - I’ve been using the same Nivea lotion for almost 15 years its THAT GOOD!

6. Finally - it’s time for perfume! The secret to getting your perfume to last all day/night is applying a bit of Aquaphor or Vaseline to your pulse points. It helps the fragrance stick to the skin better. Always remember to lightly dab fragrance and not rub it in together - it will help the scent last longer!

7. Not a necessity - but if you’re crazy like me, I have inexpensive dupes of all my favorite perfumes that I use to spray in my hair and on my clothes to really build the scent.
