Presenting to you a fresh take of Little Red Riding Hood retelling set in Langkawi, Malaysia. This is written by none other than Hanna Alkaf 💕 I'm invested in this middle grade fantasy because of this book is written during the pandemic. It started when pandemic hits, Hamra stuck in Langkawi, taking care of her grandparents and it's getting too much for herself.

The characterization of Hamra really fits her age, showing that she's just a kid with tantrum and made a lot of mistakes. I also love her character growth development as well. Though Hamra frustrated with her own family, she still love them deeply and it also shows the family dynamic in this book.

I think this book is definitely a good start for kids that want to dive into folktales and fantasy.
