Spending my weekend with bookish friends 📚

Hi baby 🍋!

I had a great weekend as I spent my time with my fellow bookish friends! We went to one of the recent bookstores opened in Malaysia last year, Eslite Spectrum. Eslite Spectrum does not only have a bookstore but also a variety of clothing brands, stationery, and even some cafes serving good coffee. They even have an area called the Eslite Forum where they will hold any book talks.

The main agenda for the day is to go to Eslite to join in an event hosted by Eslite, which is the book sharing of Hamra and The Jungle of Memories, written by Hanna Alkaf. Hamra and the Jungle of Memories is one of the recent books by Hanna Alkaf, a retelling of "Red Riding Hood" written in the context of the pandemic in Langkawi. It was such a great session with the author, and of course we also took a picture with her.

After that, we strolled around the bookstores and had a drink at one of the cafes in Eslite Spectrum. It was such a memorable day for me and also a productive weekend. It's not always that I spend my weekend going out with friends, and I'm glad I did!
