spend a day at joo chiat! ✨

happy winter break everyone!! for my first post-finals outing, some of my friends and i decided to go get some bagels after my last paper of the sem 🥯 since we all lived in the east, my friend recommended we hang out at joo chiat for the afternoon to chill and relax after a long week of papers

our 1st stop was Two Men Bagel House Joo Chiat

- the ambience was a 10/10!! the staff were super friendly and helpful in the ordering process, and it made the experience even more fun than we expected

- i got to try the triple h. on a sesame bagel which was cold cuts, cheese, and a really nice sauce that brought everything together really well (although i didn’t appreciate being flamed for wanting meat on my bagel)

- we also ordered lemonade which seemed to be made in house as well, and it was super good! complemented the bagels and made for the perfect meal

- i went on a friday morning and noticed some people doing work, so you could add it to your list of good #StudySpots if you love bagels!

our 2nd stop was RetroCrates

- it was right across TMBH and next to a coworking space & pizza place (choice cuts), which i have also been wanting to give a try!

- the selection of records was crazy good, from the latest albums from your favourite artist to full OSTs from popular TV series (like stranger things in the pic!!!!)

- they ranged from about ~$40-70 for an average record, but they also have some limited editions that go up to >$120……

- they also offer a selection of quality record players and accessories for the avid vinyl collector, and i picked up a pack of sleeves for my LPs since i needed them

- the couple who runs it was also really friendly and helped me look for some records from arists i’ve been meaning to get, and i managed to score a limited edition joji record!!
