if you're travelling to melbourne and you're interested in nature and animals, i highly recommend you to visit werribee zoo instead of the melbourne zoo! there's a deluxe safari ride on klook which you can book here 🤍

i absolutely loved the safari ride as it's a small van with only about 7 people and the tour guide will drive around a part of the zoo where you get the see the uncaged animals up close and the tour guide will share lots about the animals 🥹👍🏻 it's a lot better than taking their free bus tour as the van is comparatively smaller and can be driven into places where the bus cannot which means you get even closer to the animals!! it'll be perfect if you go during the cooler weather, the ride will be so comfy and breezy ☁️

asides from this tour, they have 2 walking trails; the australian animals trail and the african animals trail. tbh the walking trails are a bit underwhelming as the animals are really small and either hidden or super far away 🥲 but in a sense it's also good as it shows that the space pretty big for the animals to roam about.

overall rating: 4/5⭐️

definitely book the deluxe tour else the visit will be a tad bit disappointing 🫢
