tips on planning your next trip 🛫

many of us are travelling this holiday and if you’re not, this is a sign for you to treat yourself book your next trip!! #WorthIt 💎 here’s how my friend and i planned for our taiwan trip

1️⃣ instagram

first up, instagram!! i know many of us tend to google for places to visit and eat at when we’re planning our itinerary, buttt instagram is where you find the hidden gems 😩💯 look for those local accounts and you’ll be sure to find amazing places that are not on google. for example when planning for taiwan, i looked for many taiwan accounts and hashtags to find cute cafes and street stalls — when we went there, you can tell that these places are only visited by locals and most importantly, all these food did not disappoint 🤤

2️⃣ google docs

create a shared docs and dump all the places you want to visit into it! it’s best to organise them into food, sight-seeing, shopping, etc. this way, you can easily see all the different places and make sure they don’t overlap 🫶🏻

3️⃣ google maps

after throwing ideas into the docs, create a shared google maps and start adding all the locations! this is so helpful because you can better visualise the spots and plan your routes 🚏at the same time, you can eliminate places that are super out of the way

4️⃣ weather

last but not least, the weather app!! do check the weather before travelling so that you know what to pack. if you’re heading to winter countries i’ll recommend packing thicker clothes cause the weather app is not 100% accurate and it tends to get colder over the days — before heading to taiwan it was forecasted to be around 21-25°, but upon reaching the weather ended up being 16-20° so thank god i packed a few thick jackets 🥹 but ofc, even if you underpack, i’m sure you’ll be able to get winter clothes at your destination too
