iLight Singapore, the renowned light art festival, has returned from May 31 to Jun 23, showcasing 17 dazzling art installations across Marina Bay, South Beach, Millenia Walk, and Tanjong Pagar. However, my visit was confined to the Marina Bay area, particularly focused on experiencing the Iwagami Air Space installation, as depicted in Picture 2.

Arriving at Downtown MRT, a mere 5-minute walk brought me to the captivating Iwagami Air Space. From there, I strolled along the scenic Singapore River, encountering several other installations dispersed along Marina Bay. Unfortunately, these additional displays left me somewhat underwhelmed, lacking the interactive charm I had anticipated.

My decision to prioritize the Iwagami Air Space was driven by time constraints; I had only a two-hour window to explore as many installations as possible, along with a visit to Gastrobeats.

Conveniently, Gastrobeats awaited me at my final destination, situated just outside Marina Bay Sands. However, I must admit, the experience fell short of expectations. The ambiance felt lackluster, compounded by the steep prices of food items and the discomfort of dining in a non-air-conditioned setting. Moreover, Singapore's sweltering daytime temperatures added to the challenge, making it essential to be well-prepared with portable fans.

Ultimately, my experience with i Light and Gastrobeats left much to be desired. However, I encourage others to explore these offerings, perhaps as a unique date idea or a casual outing with friends. Who knows, your experience might differ from mine!
