noob passed her driving test on the first try?! 🫢

hey lemon8 🍋! i can’t believe i finally got my license after 1.5 long years at bbdc! it was a really tiring process as the bookings were always full admist the covid-19 period 😭 nonetheless i thank god that i finally got my license!! 🙏

here are some practical lesson notes (specifically for circuit) i wrote down 📝 📝 :

🌸 s course

- follow by seeing edge of side mirror, touching curb

🌸 crank course

- turning point is at door handle

🌸 directional change

1. white (2nd curb from right) centre in middle of steering wheel

2. kurb below side mirror

3. reverse & signal right, turn right full lock while moving

4. check blind spots, side mirror

5. look to front, car straight turn back steering wheel

6. look to the back and reverse until side mirror below kurb

7. drive, signal left, check blind spots and move off, curb reaches door handle then move off

🌸 parallel parking

1. kurb at button, drive towards left until cannot see kurb, move forward and straighten the car, white line align with car

2. M (mirror) - left mirror adjust to be able to see back wheel, S (signal) - signal left, G (gear) - reverse

4. reverse till back wheel btwn last white and black kurb (left mirror)

5. full left lock, right mirror can see a bit of black kurb

6. turn back to neutral when see black curb

7. M (mirror) - right shift till can see back wheel

8. back wheel at white line (right mirror)

9. full right lock, reverse till wheels hitting kurb, turn back to neutral, drive, make car straight, wheel within 1 kurb away, park

🌼 moving off:

8. open window, move forward till mirror below kurb/2 kurbs away from left mirror

9. full left lock, reverse till wheel gg to hit kurb

10. M - mirrors as per normal, S - signal right, G - drive

11. full lock right, left corner cover kurb, straighten, full left lock

‼️rmb to check your blind spots~ every time you reverse must check

🌸 vertical parking

1. right side button on left of centre white line

2. MSG (mirror, signal, gear)

3. safety check

4. centre of back wheel just before the line

5. safety check & check the corner of the curb

6. full lock left

7. check left and right mirrors consistently, if too near reposition, left then right

8. car returns straight, turn back wheel

9. safety check

10. reverse all the way till one curb away

11. adjust mirrors back❗️

12. when move off, if turn left, curb must be at 3/4 of door. if right, centre white line below side mirror.

🌸 slope

1. stop when car is on slope

2. handbrake

3. signal right

4. check 3 front mirrors & blind spot

5. step on accelerator at a constant speed, release handbrake

6. as car goes down, release accelerator

🌸 e-brake

1. stop immediately when instructor taps dashboard, before move off right signal & check blind spot

🌸 ramp

break points:

1. wheel hits kurb

2. front wheel on top of ramp

- put to parking

1. back wheel hits ramp

2. back wheel on ramp

3. front wheel down

4. back wheel down

- put to reverse

5. check back over shoulder before reversing

6. look at front mirror to reverse

7. back wheel on ramp

- drive

8. back wheel down
