REVIEWING AN AESOP FACIAL @ BANGKOK

Bangkok is known for its massages but we decided to try something new and go for a facial!! 💆🏻‍♀️

📍Address: Loft Thai Spa & Massage - Sukhumvit 38

📌 Tip:

- Make a reservation via their Whatsapp before heading down. I made mine about 2 weeks in advanced and they didn’t even require a deposit!

- Choose the 90/120min one if you want a longer facial, shoulder and neck massage

👍Why I like it:

- Place was really clean, staff was friendly and didn’t chat among themselves during the facial

- Very responsive on whatsapp

- Facial was soooo relaxing; the shoulder and neck massage rly targeted my aching areas

- Great for the hot and sticky weather in Bangkok at the moment

- Aesop products!! Supposedly good for sensitive skin and they smelt pretty good, ngl

- NO EXTRACTIONS!! Perfect for people who hate the pain or want to avoid causing skin trauma

- Refreshments before and after

- They provide shower facilities in the privacy of the massage room in case you need to shower

👎🏻 What’s not so great:

- Inconsistency between masseuse - my partner complained that he only had about 2 min of face massage as his masseuse spent most of the time on the neck and shoulder massage. My face massage on the other hand was at least 15-20min

- Located in quite a secluded area from the train station…

So anyway after the facial they leave the products in, so you’re not supposed to wash your face for AT LEAST 4h, so make sure to come at night. You’ll probably also have to take a grab back. Tbh the weather was so hot that I washed it all off anyways when we got back.

The next day, my partner actually had an itchy, red allergic reaction on his face!! But we weren’t sure if it’s due to the facial (he rly listened to them and didn’t wash his face), or the hotel pillows or in general just the dirty air. I didn’t have any bad reactions although I have rly sensitive skin/acne-prone so… who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️

🤔Would go again?

Yes for me! I actually really liked it cos it felt so luxurious and relaxing. My partner would probably say no 😂

💵 Price: 3600 thb per person (~134 sgd). Pricey++ but TREAT YOURSELF!!
