My fibroid the size of grapefruit ? Part 2

Continuing with my previous post , I did my Ultrasound Pelvis Transvaginal scan in one of the imaging centre in Novena , Singapore

The size of my fibroid came out to be 11.3 x 10.1 x 7.9 cm 😱

Like what ?!

I am carrying a grapefruit size fibroid with me all along ?

I’ve been thinking a lot when my O&G doctor showed me the result .

I was stunned and confused :

💭 Why is this happening to me ?

💭 What is this fibroid thingy ?

💭 Is my lifestyle and food intake causing it ?

💭 Is this due to my hormone ?

💭 Will I ever get pregnant ?

💭 It this genetic ?

💭 Will I die from it ?

💭 What causing this ?

💭 So it’s not that my belly reducing workout doesn’t work on me , is this fibroid that hinders my slimming journey ?

💭 How long I’ve been carrying this with me ?

💭 Is this what causing spotting after my period end?

💭 😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨

I can’t free myself from thinking negatively about this

As a women, I had limit knowledges about women’s healthcare #embarrassing

As long I got myself a regular menstrual cycle , as long my health screening results came out to be normal, I am okay with it

Now this ?

And its this huge ?😟

Even my O&G doctor asked me :

😟 Your lower abdomen enlargement is noticeable, you didn’t realise it ?

My answer :

😫 I thought it’s just belly fat ! And maybe my pelvic bone tilted out

She gave me one and only advise on this

✨Surgery

There’s no way I should be keeping this grapefruit inside me any longer

She understand how costly the surgery will be, and she herself not performing such surgery.

So I was referred to KK Hospital for further investigations.

✨Part 3 - Will post about which hospital I seek second opinion on and the surgery suggested by my surgeon.
