In Every Mirror She’s Black-

This was an amazing book that followed the journey of three Black women who moved to Sweden all in connection to one man. The storylines were gripping and I found myself going back and forth on who was to blame for the way this story played out. I loved how in the end it’s clear no one person was to blame for the situation everyone ended up in but it was the accumulation of everyone and everything that these women were experiencing.

Legendborn -

A book perfect for the girlies who love fantasy. One of the few books that I just could not put down!! This story follows a young girl who recently lost her mother and is struggling with trying to learn more about her past and new powers she seems to possess. Set in a world where reality and a demon world are constantly colliding. It’s also great for those obsessed with the story of Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable.

My Sister, The Serial Killer -

This one is for my lovers of true crime. What would you do if you knew your sister was a serial killer compelled to murder her lovers? Would you help her hide the bodies? Would you turn her in? Or would you turn a blind eye? All questions I hope I never have to answer but are address in this gripping novel!
