🧠🌟 Up your psychology game with SPS PSYCHATHON 🌟🧠

HEYSIES!👋 Recently, I had the brilliant opportunity to participate in a psychology ideation competiton called PSYCHATHON by Singapore Psychological Society Youth Wing. It was an amazing way to make the most of my time and prepare for school while delving into the fascinating world of psychology. If you're interested in psychology 🧠, this is an event you definitely don't want to miss!

The commitment for this event is totally manageable – just three Saturdays! One for briefings and workshops, one for mentoring, and one for the final presentation. 🗓️ So, if you're looking for something fulfilling to get involved in alongside your studies or work, this program is perfect for you! But fair warning, it's no easy feat; the problem statements given were real industry challenges that required some serious research, brainstorming and creative thinking. 🧠💡

Our group had its fair share of struggles 😩, and we only finalized our ideas a day before the presentation. So, it really was a challenge and an opportunity to learn for us. But the feeling of applying psychological concepts to tackle real-world problems was rewarding! Seeing different perspectives and solutions from other groups was eye-opening! Even though we didn't win, the knowledge and insights gained were definitely worth the effort! 💡🌟

Can’t wait to join it next year? Here's the best part – SPS PSYCHATHON is open to anyone studying in 🏫 tertiary education institutes 🏫and above! You don't need to be a psychology major to participate; last year, there were even engineering students who did well! 📚🔧 So, if you have a passion for psychology, don't hesitate to join in!

There's more! 🎁 By participating in the SPS PSYCHATHON, we were granted $5 off the student membership fee and the admin fee waived if we choose to become a member of the Singapore Psychological Society! It's an incredible opportunity to connect with 💼 industry professionals👔 and gain valuable insights🔎 into the field so there’s really nothing to lose by joining!
