Chocolate covered dates w/sea salt

Have you ever tried a chocolate covered date?

I’ve seen lots of content of them filled with peanut butter, which is a great idea! But I’m not a peanut butter girl.

These are SO good. It’s such an easy simple snack to grab right out of the fridge.

All you need is -

a bag of pitted dates

melted chocolate of your choice (I used HU kitchen hazelnut)

kosher sea salt

Melt your chocolate in the microwave in small 15 second intervals so not to burn the chocolate.

(Adding a little coconut oil may help, but not necessary)

Add the dates right into the chocolate.

It’s easiest to use a fork to retrieve them as it helps drip down the excess chocolate.

Place them on a parchment lines tray or plate and pop them right in the fridge! 🤤

This recipe has helped fall in love with dates and now I experiment with them in other areas of baking!
