Giving birth is really hard. I completely lost myself after I gave birth to our first. It has since been almost half a year since I had her and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again.
A few things I did were:
• Having one day to myself and someone watch her while I just take a breather. Whether that be to go somewhere or just take a shower.
• Still having dates with my husband kid free.
• Skincare and a shower every night (hot showers really helped me keep my sanity).
• Express my feelings whether good or bad and crying it out to someone (mostly my husband).
• Still finding time to do things I like when I get the chance. Skincare, coffee, getting in my phone or watching videos on YouTube.
• Having a bath to help heal faster. I would alternate shower and bath every night. I loved having a nice bath after the baby went to bed.
• Taking everything slow and easy and not overdoing anything.
• Soaking up all the cute moments during the day while it's just me and her.
• Getting outside and walking when it was warm out.
