How do I budget for my HOME RENOVATION? (Pt. 2)

A friend of mine advised me to settle anything that involves with hacking first. What would that be? I’ll list out things that applicable for my case first since I live in condo.

Wall demolition – I did not do any wall demolition since I wanted to still separate my laundry area with kitchen and since I’m not a heavy cook, I don’t really require wet and dry kitchen.

AC+ Electrical plug point – Since my house is RUMAWIP, I did not have any option to add up plug point during construction phase. Else, you can definitely request developer to add plug point and it is more cost effective than doing it upon completion. My house have very limited plug point so I added a lot of them. I really underestimate this. I’ll talk about this in detailed in another post. (Roughly RM10K for additional 2 AC point + 20 new points)

Water piping – I wanted to convert my kitchen faucet from wall mounted to undermount(?) (Roughly RM300 each plumber visit, excluding materials. Lesson Learnt: Please make sure you lump all plumbing works so that you wont be charge RM300 every time – especially minor works).

STEP 2: Do messiest work first - plan all your hacking first.
