Why my first baby also has to be my last

At 36 weeks, I developed severe acute pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome, which left me with permanent high blood pressure (almost 18 months now), ended up costing me my gallbladder, and left damage to many of my organs. If the doctor hadn’t caught it in a routine visit, I could have easily had a seizure or a stroke. Unfortunately, the risk of getting these conditions again in my next pregnancy would be extremely high and I was advised against it. I love my son more than anything, but he will always be my only baby.
