itโs been a while since I came back from Korea but thought I would share my experience shopping there! Korea is known to have cheap and stylish clothes. but, it was actually a lot harder than I expected to find clothes that fit me ๐ตโ๐ซ
some of the popular spots to shop in Korea will be goto mall, hongdae and myeongdong area. these stalls have no fitting rooms (itโs a lot like Bugis street) which means itโs a gamble buying clothes ๐ซ I rmb shopping around for hours but not daring to buy anything.
normally, these shops only carry free size which is another struggle ๐ซ most of them only have sizes for bottoms and typically only go up to L size. however, these sizes can be very varied! some shopโs M size can be too big for me while other shopโs L size doesnโt even fit me ๐ค
there are also other bigger shops such as troubadour, lucky factory and m playground that allow try ons. however, they might not allow try ons for certain pieces such as tops (particularly whites) and one pieces. they will typically have a staff check the pieces u want to try on.
if you canโt find pieces that suit u in these shops, I highly recommend checking out malls instead. while they arenโt as cheap, a lot of brands have sales all the time! it is so much more worth to buy one expensive item that fits you well than buy three cheap items that donโt even fit u.
overall, Iโm still happy with my haul from Korea but will probably spend lesser time shopping at small stalls (with no fitting rooms). hope this helps if you also intend to shop in Korea โจ
