Ingredients:

1lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

8 oz smoked sausage, sliced

3 cups broccoli florets

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for thickening, optional)

Cooked rice (for serving, optional)

Directions:

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and black pepper.

Set aside.

In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and broccoli florets. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crisp. Remove the broccoli and set aside.

Add the butter to the skillet, and once melted, add the minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are fully cooked.

Return the sausage and broccoli to the skillet with the shrimp. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the mixture, stirring to coat everything evenly.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken. If you want a thicker sauce, add the cornstarch slurry at this point

Serve hot over cooked rice if desired.
