Ingredient 1 & Portion: white rice: I add 3 cups of rice to my pan, I rinse it until the water turns clear enough that I can see the rice,I then add enough water to go to the knuckle of my index finger,on high heat,I add a tablespoon of butter,stir the rice once with a fork cooking utensil,once it comes to a boil,I stir it again,turning the heat to simmer until the water has holes in it without water bubbling out anymore,stir it one more time and then I turn the heat off, I then don’t mess with it until I’m ready to serve it.

Ingredient 2 & Portion: 4 chicken thighs,3 cups of rice,homemade gravy

Detailed Steps: I seasoned the chicken with: garlic and herb,Montreal chicken,pepper,garlic powder,Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder,minced garlic and onion,browned the chicken in cast iron skillet with a little oil,once browned I put the chicken to the side in a large bowl.

I added a half cup or so of flour browned it until it was the color and consistency I wanted, then deglazed with added chicken broth/stock, whisked it until I had the consistency I wanted,then I added the chicken back into the pan,covered the chicken with the gravy. Then I put it in the oven on 350* basting the gravy over every 15 or so minutes. Until the chicken was 160* about 45-60 minutes

Additional tips/notes: I eyeball the seasoning/ ingredients, for the rice I make it first so it can have the sticky texture
