living in the east my whole life, joo chiat is definitely one of my favourite neighborhoods to visit. a good day to be an eastie 🌞

here are some places i think are worth visiting if you’re planning to swing by joo chiat

01/ june coffee ☕

this is one of the few cafes that is both aesthetically pleasing and serves great food. i’ve been there twice—once for their desserts and once for their mains—and both times did not disappoint. the truffle tater tots was my fav. 🤩

02/ retrocrates 🎶

i don't own a vinyl player, but i love browsing through a vinyl record shop. they have a sofa area to sit and relax, which is a nice respite from the hot weather. 🙂‍↔️

03/ flower matters 🌸

this is my first time seeing such a wide variety of jellycats! it’s interesting to discover the different types that exist, although i can’t bring any home lol. 😔

honourable mentions are sojao (homeware store), crane living (homeware store) and cat socrates (souvenirs & gift shop).
