Did you know you can find sand dunes in the US? Yep, and they’re AMAZING. Here are a few of my favorite spots:
- This is unlike anything you will ever see. The sand is so white it looks like snow. It’s located in New Mexico, about 1.5 hours from El Paso, Texas and 3 hours from Albuquerque, NM.
- Located in Death Valley National Park in California, these were, in my opinion, the most impressive and photogenic of all the sand dunes on this list. However, you have to walk quite awhile to get to the really big dunes.
Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park
- This is a state park in Utah, and the first sand dunes I ever visited. You can rent a sand board or a sled at the visitor’s center. I recommend the sand board - it’s way more fun!
- Also located in Utah, this is the only one of this list that isn’t a national or state park. There is a small fee to enter, but it’s more of an honors system than anything.
Which would you visit first?
