🇹🇼 warm and comforting ginger duck hotpot 🦆🍲

Coming in hot with another hotpot rec! Other than the usual spots (肉多多, Mala Hotpot, or even a clam hotpot restaurant!) here's an option that's mostly frequented by locals 😋🤤

Perfect for the fall and winter weather in tw, this place specialises in ginger duck soup brewed in clay earthenware jars, giving it a rich, nourishing taste to warm your souls and tummies 😍💓

📝 WHAT WE ORDERED

- Ginger duck soup (add-ons of duck blood pudding, Chinese cabbage, and fried tofu skin)

- Sesame oil meesua

⭐ REVIEW

The ginger duck soup was the star of the show for sure, enhanced by the ingredients that we added on, as well as pieces of stewed duck in the hotpot.

Rather than the usual carb option of white rice, they serve plates of meesua tossed in sesame oil, so light yet so flavourful!

The restaurant was packed with locals when we visited, giving us an extra stamp of approval that we were at the right place 😉

The total damage was around SGD13 per person, and I would definitely return to tw to enjoy this warm and comforting dish in the chilly weather 🔥

💯 TIPS

- I highly recommend adding an order of duck blood pudding. Its firm jelly-like texture is similar to silken tofu, but goes so well with the warm soup 😍

- The restaurant operates using a physical queueing system, so approach the staff to receive a queue number and hang around until it's your turn to be seated.

- They open until 1am, making it a good option for a hearty and tasty meal after a night of exploring the night markets.
